Interesting article. Wonder where they got their info about the next remodel not happening until MY2015?

As long as work needs to be done, the truck will survive.

^^^^ agreed.

not happening till 2015??? that too long for you? i could see that imo. look at the last two body styles. they ran from 97-03 (6yrs plus spill over) 04-08 (4 yrs) so 2009-2015 sounds about right to me

Only problem with that is that the 09 was not a total redesign. It was a mid-term update. A significant one, but not a re do like the '97 and '04.

I see a lot of people saying this but never have any facts.

just park beside a 04-08 and you will see. The most obvious thing is the doors and the windows are all exactly the same.

I know for a fact it was just an update. I had an 03, then an 04 new body style and now I have a 10. It was a whole different truck from ground up from the 03 to 04, the 09/10 has some changes but it is definitely not a re-design. It was an update only. Much of the body is still the same with suttle changes. The changes are good but they are no re-design.

im guessing you failed math right?
  1. 1997
  2. 1998
  3. 1999
  4. 2000
  5. 2001
  6. 2002
  7. 2003
+ 2004 spill over

While 2009-10 trucks use alot of carry over parts, its more then just a facelift (like the '99 and '06) 2009+ has new frame, new rear susp, and tons of other big changes on the truck. So for me its hard to call it just a facelift mid gen change, but its not a entirely new truck either.....

the regular cab and supercrew front doors from 04-08s are no more, since they stretched the supercrew cab, and deleted the rear door on the regular cab. All the 09-10 Front doors are the "old" longer 04-08 extended cab doors

Yes no ones debating that, but its not a "all-new" truck like the 04 & 97 & 80 were.

ehh you knew what i meant i was counting yrs not MY's

sad part is im getting a math minor haha. just all the coffee and studying for systems and controls is getting to me i guess

but i would definately classify it as a completely new truck not just a slight redesign like the bumper changes and number of doors like previous models etc
