Oil change w/Synth and rotation

Had it done at Ford today for 39.99+taxes total 45.00 for full synth and rotation at 3600 miles. Good price? I thought so.

On a new truck, FREE should be the norm.

Regular oil change was free if I went to the same dealer I bought the truck from. Which, as everyone else knows here will never happen. Synth was higher. I had a coupon for 14.99 oil change and free rotation but opted for the synth due to 95% of my driving is towing.

Probably a good decision - the $14.99 special probably uses bulk oil, not Motorcraft. I probably would have saved the coupon, tire rotation at 3600 miles is quite early.

it is, but i have a few more rotation coupons. Also, this was full synth not blend. I had just towed through the hills of VA 987 miles and now going to Champlain and George in 2 weeks. Felt this was good move. Some steep ones up there!

Id say you got one heck of a deal. You cant even buy the oil and filter for that price (full synthetic).

I was the QFS (motorcraft full synth I think) that is what it states on the slip at 49.00 for the oil alone. Total bill came to 36.93, less that what he originally quoted me. I think I did well.

You can get Mobil 1 five quart jugs at Wally World for $22.00. Add the MotorCraft filet for $3.67.......thats an entertainment value......although you'll need seven quarts. I buy three jugs and two filters at a time so I have two oil changes ready and waiting.
