Welcome to the forum.
First if you open the sunglass holder next to the dome light you will the tabs to release the assy.
You should be able to pull down on the assy. and get it out. Pull the back part out and then you should be able to get the front part to pop out with a little effort.
Once it is out you can then unplug the wiring assy.
With the assy. out you can then release the tab holding the plastic cover. First release the tab on the rear part of the assy.
Then the tab on the front corner of the assy.
Then the tab on the front of the assy.
Do this on both sides of the assy. and the cover is removed and you can get to the lights.
On the rear dome light you just grab the front of the plastic lens and pull down and backwards and it should pop right off.

Should be the same but I'm not 100% sure. If I were you, I'd get the 44 because 2mm difference isn't much of a difference and I would rather have a bulb that should work for both applications whereas the 42mm will be too short if you need a 44mm. You can always measure your stock bulb to be positive, measure tip to tip.
