33s and no lift

Hey Fellas,

I did this awhile ago, just finally got around to posting some pics.

My truck now has Mickey Thompson Classic IIs (17X9, 5.5" BS) and BFG All Terrain T/A KOs (285/70R17). I put them on with no level or lift kit and there is no rubbing at all. So if anyone is interested in a setup that doesn't require any suspension mods this is an option.

I have a stripped down XL model, with the only option being chrome bumpers.

not bad.. Your truck would look way better with a leveling kit!

Looks good, but I don't think I'd call 285's 33s as I think they are closer to 34 tall... Much narrower than the normal 33x12.50 though. Any rubbing when turning or when the suspension is bottomed out?

No rubbing at all so far, and the tires have been on there for a few months now.

Yeah, I like a little rake in it because I usually drive around with construction materials in the back.

Thanks for posting the pics, not sure what I did wrong? Anyone want to take the time to tell me how its done?

the are actually 32.7 tall according to the pepboys website formula:

(Cross section width x 0.aspect ratio) x 2
__________________________________ + Wheel Diameter
25.4

=Overall Tire diameter in inches

EXAMPLE: 285 x 0.70 x 2
_____________ +17 inches =32.08661
25.4

I put a set of 275/70/18 BFG All Terrains on a couple of weeks ago. They are 33.2" and I have no lift, no leveling kit, etc. So far so good. No rubbing. Only thing is that I have noticed a drop in MPG.

Thanks! Regular Cab with the Long Bed is my favorite configuration.
