New 2010 F-150 FX4 w/ Mods - Pic Heavy!
My father was looking for a new truck and basically asked if I'd pick one out for him and set him up. Ended up with a really nice 2010 FX4 Supercrew with moonroof and the navigation system. Already made the following additions:
- Harley Davidson Headlights
- Harley Davidson Taillights
- Painted-to-Match Fender Flares
- BedRug
- BakFlip Tonneau Cover
- Ford Tailgate Extender
- Removed FX4 Decals

Harley Head on Passenger Side, Stock on Driver Side:
Taillight Comparison:

Bed After:
I think the Harley Headlights and especially Taillights look so much better than the stock lights on a black FX4. I bought the painted-to-match fender flares off of ebay for $150. They were off a Lariat and were in perfect condition, seller included a new set of the black plastic push pins for installation as well. I think the painted fender flares really make the look of the truck flow better. I went with the BedRug because the bed of my dad's truck is pretty much going to be a big trunk. I'm extremely impressed with the quality of the BedRug. I'd seen pics before, but never saw one in person. Installation was simple and they did a great job moliding in the tailgate step bar into the carpet. Topped the bed with the BakFlip Tonneau cover. Its also very nice, low profile, seems to seal around the bed very well, and is easy to install and operate. His truck didn't come with the tailgate extender so I added that just to increase bed space if needed or to keep the groceries or smaller items from sliding around too much. I had to trim off the 4 little 3/4"-1" legs that were on top and bottom. The thickness of the BedRug didn't allow the locking pin of the extender to engage. It was just slightly missing the hole, so trimming them gave the extender just a little more rotation for the pins to line up with the holes. I also still have to hook up the rear drain lines for the BakFlip, need a fitting to step down to a smaller tube so I can insert it through the tailgate extender top holes.
The 2010 looks great, runs great, and the Sync with the navigation system is unbelievable.... makes me want to get a new one!

Great truck and great post with comparo pics. Thanks
Just my personal opinion, but three things it needs to even better:
- Gloss Black B pillar fr HD or Platinum,
- Meatier tires. Even A/T 285/55R20s
- Black steps vs. Chrome. Mono chrome truck has no place for chrome IMHO.
Then it would look as good as a F150 can look.
