few questions:
i cant get the exact truck i want with all the options for the price i want so i am trying to decide what i can live without. i would prefer the FX4 (bc of the painted bumpers) with cooled seats, 700w sony system and reverse sensing system and rear elec window. obviously there is no FX4 with cooled seats...so...im looking at a FX2...
1) if i was to lift a FX2, how much front and back does it need to be lifted to mimic the reg 4x4 height?
2) if sticker is $38,543, what is realistic? i have x plan, but with that and current incentives what is realistic? i have read people say "take 10k off sticker"
is that par for the course, or someone who walked away and that was a dealership's last resort to save a sale? i keep hearing from the dealers there is $6500 off for incentives. at that point i guess its up to them how much more they want to discount?
thanks for the help.

The FX2 is a sweet truck, but in the end I decided to go with the Lariat. Not just because of the cooled leather captains chairs with the console and floor shifter, although it was a major factor. The sport buckets in the FX2 were nice. But the cooled captains chairs with 10 way adjust-ability and memory and power lumbar won out. I liked the different options the Lariat offered. I got the Lariat package that offered the backup system and camera, garage door opener and keypad entry system. I wanted the chrome bumpers and grille without having to buy the whole chrome package.
I ordered mine from the factory, which might be to late for you on a 2010. But I got what I wanted, and I used the X-Plan too. I bought a $37,460 truck for $30,040. The X-Plan is straight forward, and is 4% off of sticker. You will still qualify for all dealer incentives and bonuses. My advice would be to wait a couple of months and the dealers will be more willing to deal. The downside to that would be the selection would be slimmer. I guess it all comes down to where you fall in the financial food chain. If you know what and don't want to settle, wait for the 2011's and order everything you really want. Trust me its worth the wait.
