But then, after 6 years I'm also struggling to find a good use for the overhead rail system that Ford marketed so proudly back in '04.
My sunglasses cigs and wallet go in the overhead bin on my truck

Totally!!! Where the heck is Rambunctious, with that company he worked for which was making all kinds of overhead rail accessories, he was touting so hard back in '04?!? Haven't seen hide nor hair from him since probably sometime in 2005.

My Cell phone in it's clip on holder fits snuggly and perfect. And use it for 40 cal ammunition when I go plinking.

My wallet must be thicker (fuller) than you guys - it doesn't fit!

Left side = phone or garage remote or key cards for the office.
Right side = chap stick and lip stick ... its the wife's side.

My 2007 has a very small cubby right behind the gear shift, I have never found a use for it.

Used to keep my Polish Bank Roll in there until I forgot to lock my truck one night and it walked off. Learned my lesson.

Cubby holes ! I just remembered in my 2009 Reg Cab there are two cubby holes on the sides , behind the seat about shoulder height. Hard to see and hard to get to . I put something in one but then forgot that it and the hole were there !!
