Hissing sound from power steering reservoir?

Hi guys,

I was showing my truck to the in-laws yesterday and we had the hood open with engine running. I can hear a distinct air hissing sound and it sounds like its coming from the power steering fluid reservoir. It's a constant hissing that is loudest right near the cap. Is this right? My first thought was a vacuum leak of some sort, but I'm not familiar with this vehicle enough yet to know whats normal.

Also, after we shut the engine off, about 5 seconds later, it makes an air release kind of sound that seems to come from the driver side firewall area in the engine compartment. Sort of how an air brake sounds when it releases pressure but not as loud.

Would appreciate any thoughts.

Thanks!

All normal noises. The pressure release sound is, I believe, the IWE solenoid releasing the vacuum to the front hubs.

Haha... thanks guys. Yeah, I'm still in the "getting to know my truck" phase.

This truck is awesome!
