No ones ability can stop a truck from going out of control at high speed. Do 60mph and grab that wheel and turn it hard to one direction as if you swerved to miss a person or object and see how brown your pants are. I had to do this the other day when someone pulled out in front of me. The truck felt like it was going to tip on it's side but lucky for me the road was damp and my tires slid and didnt catch the tarmc. Now try and do that same move at over 100mph. You will more than likely be upside down.

Every time I get above 87mph my flux capacitor kicks in and I go back to the future

These special-edition trucks have suspension improvements, brake upgrades, performance tires, and other modifications designed to make them (more) capable of dealing with the increased top-speed potential. A stock F150 is not "built for speed."

It's because they are not! High center of gravity, high ground clearance, long wheel base, wrong tires, not aerodynamic, weights a lot, can't stop quickly, can't handle, wrong suspension.

It depends on what you do to your truck. Like I said before the Roush Nitemare, the Ford Lightning, and the Saleen S331 are all trucks that are very fast. Trucks can be altered in order to go fast. Should people speed around on public streets? Of course not! But take them somewhere you can drive them without the risk of hurting someone else and go as fast as you want.

Just to give a heads up on this topic went to dealer and they stated they didnt know there was a speed limiter on the trucks .They went into the computer in the truck and didnt find a I guess you can say an on- off switch for it so they are contacting ford to find out what they can do But he stated (service manager) there is no break in period they do that before it is sent to the dealer so u can pull it off the lot take it to the track and hold it wide open and not hurt the vehicle in anyway so i will keep u guys that care up to date on this issue . enjoy
