I have never purchased aftermarket wheels before and dont know who makes the best ones or which ones to stay away from.....?

I have an 09 F-150 with the 20 inch option....and want to keep my current tires for now.....275/55 R 20 Scorpions

I want a wheel in Chrome or Alum finish that is fairly rugged....I like Foose and Moto wheels.....but am kinda lost here......Offset this ...Offset that........who can give me the 411 here....I just want to stay near what I have already

I can't help you because I'm basically in the exact same boat as you--don't know anything really about aftermarket wheels, looking in to possibly getting some aftermarket ones (it would be in the distant future though), and if I did I'd want something rugged with a chrome or alum finish. So please keep us up to date on what you decide to get, pics, etc.

 

I will most likely decide on the Moto Wheels........From what I can tell and from other Truck owners out there......they are the most popular manufacturer around.......If I can get a decent price for my Machined OEM 20s on Craigslist the difference wont be too bad?

The Moto MT 100,951 and 956 appeal to me.......

 

if you buy from craigslist make sure that the stud pattern lines up right or you will be screwed.. i dont know much about this topic either but i know dont screw up on the stud pattern or you wont even be able to put them on.. im looking to get some 18" xd monsters myself EVENTUALLY lol my suggestions would be go to the wheels & tires & brakes forum & post up your questions there, you will get alot more response in the than you will here...

The largest Tire/Wheel Broker in Nigeria assured me the wheels will fit and is throwing in free tires as well!.....All I need to do is get to Western Union to confirm my order......?

Ya.......I got a local shop and its called the USA!

We dont have the population that USA does and dont have the selection .We often have to go to crap places like Canadian Tire and the 16 year old clerk only knows drop down menus on his comp?.....

I live less than 20 miles from the border and get all my stuff from USA Websites and have them drop shipped at shipping depot 1 mile inside USA Border.......I wont let those Greedy Canadians get hold of my stuff and slap a bunch of brokerage and taxes on it........If I want to go touchy/feely shopping ,Seattle is only 2 hrs away......

Its hard to know where to shop online in USA when you dont live there.....I wish I had a list from other members here of where the best places to shop online?

I see that 4 wheel has them for about the same $ minus 20% and free ship...I had no idea they were in Seattle too......?....maybe on Sat Ill go for a cruise.

I did get some advice to go with alum machined over chrome as they are tougher and a lot easier to have refinished......My local Goodyear store has a set of Foose wheels that peeled in less than 6 months.....advised me to stay away from Foose stuff?

 

Even though polished aluminum wheels are easier to get refinished, the wheels will be a lot harder to keep clean. You will spend hours and hours polishing the wheels to keep them from pitting. Stick with the chrome - just soap and water and they are clean. I had a set of aluminum polished wheels and had to get rid of them because they were too much work to keep up with.

 

Go machined and black. If your anywhere near salt, new chrome wheels normally dont hold up since nickel is so expensive. Foose is expensive. Stock offset on that truck is a HPO which means 32+. Most 20x9/20x8.5 wheels 6x135 are only going to come HPO, but some offroad styles will come more medium to review +25 to 0 to -25.

Polished does mean work to keep them shiney. Chrome wheels hold up better if you coat them with a car wax when they are new. Especially the barrel of the wheel where more crap sits.
