hitch help 2010

I dont doubt you one bit. Call the parts department directly, tell them you just bought a new truck from them a few days ago and ask for 20% off. Most of the guys I have dealt with in Parts have been pretty cool and usually respond well to a customer that knows what they are looking for.

You know what. Just got thinking about I dont know why i should be just taking in the azz like this. They agreed to sell it to me AT COST, NOT FULL RETAIL. I'm calling the salesguy tomorrow and calling his bluff, then i'll take it from there.
I just spent 30k on a new truck, they can take a few bucks off a damn hitch for gods sake.
I think they raised the price just so i wouldn't want it in the end.

Go with the aftermarket, the factory receiver is short and can cause problems, see picture.
Woops, seems I can't post pictures
I have A DT-STBM6600 and the tensioning pin is only half way in the receiver tube....
here is the message from DT when I queried them
"I actually own the exact same truck as you and I am using a DT-STBM6400. Ford light duty trucks all have shorter than typical receiver tubes and the tensioning pin needs to be as far away from the hitch pin as possible to be effective, so we have positioned it in the current location to be as effective as possible on most all applications. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and thanks for purchasing a DT product."
I am thinking I might have to re-drill the receiver
