Has anyone done this? I've read on here that most of the wiring harness are in the vehicle and usually it just takes the last remaining parts. I can verify that the temperature probe loom is under the hood but needs the probe. I am curious about the headliner loom. Is it just hiding there and needs the compass that connects to the mirror or is it a big deal to add that?

I have an '09 XL, and after doing some searching, the harnesses may be there, but the sensor for the temp isn't. I ended up going and getting a new rearview mirror with temp, compass, and homelink integrated. Then it was just a matter of running the wiring, which if you've done a stereo, you can handle. It just requires power and running the wiring for the temp probe.

The model I got was a Gentex 313. It's a couple of years old, but you can find them all over the place on ebay. You can check my gallery for some pics. It's a little 'bulky', but otherwise looks factory. Mine even fit over the 'slug' on the windshield, so I didn't have to mess with epoxying a new one.
