The 06-08 round fogs aren't worth much either. good enough to light about 5 ft in front of the truck . . . just enough for you to catch a glimpse of what you're about to hit at 40mph!! lol.

In any case, HID's are only 60-80 for the kit, the only real expense is the retrofiting of the stock housings.

To each their own. For me, lighting = safety = priceless

Does anyone know anything about the Sylvania H13XV Extravision compared to the H13ST. How about the Streeglows. Does anyone have any experience with these bulbs? Looking on Sylvania's website it states.

2010 FORD F150

High & low beam headlamp
H13 (9008)
H13ST Silverstar: The brighter and whiter light. Up to 35% brighter, up to 30% more downroad visibility and up to 35% more sideroad visibility.
H13XV XtraVision: The brighter light for upgraded performance. Up to 30% brighter light and up to 25% more downroad visibility.

But is the XV numbers compared to OEM or the Silverstars ???

The XV is comparable to OEM bulbs, not Silverstar. I have tried them in the past and there was no discernable difference.

i dont mean to derail this thread but i dont think it qualifies for making an entire new one

on my old jeep there was a relay that you could pull and clip one of the pins off of to force the foglights to stay on when the brights were on. is there any easy way of doing this with the F150s?

I am running the PIAA xtreme white in my '09. They look better to me than the stock bulbs, but are still lacking on high-beam. I aimed the fog lights up a little to give better lighting to the sides for driving on back roads, but I still am not overly thrilled with the output. Our Honda Odyssey with standard bulbs (separate low and highs) has is much brighter / wider beam on high.
