Can I get some pics of the inside of a 2009+ flow through center console? Im wanting to get my dad a similar mount as discussed in this thread, center console gun mount, , but I am not sure of how the inside looks on a 09 platinum f150. I dont know what the insides look like and I dont want to tell him about my plans as it will be for his birthday if I can figure it out, lol. Just a few pics of the lid, insides, and inner walls would be great!

The new console is huge, you can put a bigger gun in it. I built a custom console for my last truck. I had an electronic cuff style gun lock bolted through the floor. I carried an AR15, Aimpoint optic with a 20rd mag for low clearance. Now I have a cute little SBR shorty with EOTech.
Everyone has a pistol in their car.

I'm still looking for something for this one though... I'm thinking a regular gun rack in the back window. Or a pintle mount on the roof.





Seriously though, I CCW a pistol in a shoulder holster, which is outstanding for sitting and driving comfort.

But yea i tried looking up my pictures from the 2009 F150 launch preview i attended at a dealership in Austin, but didnt have any pictures of the console open.

That is why I built my own console. If I am going to leave a firearm in a vehicle it is going to be locked down to some extent. Sure maybe they can pry, bend or cut it out. But at least I know I tried to keep from giving away a loaded gun to the streets.

The rear of my console has a lockable pistol box.

 

Come on now somebody has to be nice enough to have some fantastic photos of the inside of a flow through center console!

 

Nevermind I just told my dad about his suprise and showed him mine and I can get it to work in his truck with the 09 flow through console.
