Reverse Aide???

This past week was the first time I looked at my message center when I was attempting to back up. It said something to the line of parking assist <on> off . Is this always up there when backing up or did it just pop up. I have been watching the camera monitor before. Also when I back up the beeping doesn't seem to start as early as I thought when I test drove it. It almost waits until I am inside a foot (driving slow) before it gives me a couple beeps and then straight to solid tone. Can it be calibrated?

That message is always displayed when backing up. Allows you to turn it off if you have a trailer hooked up, etc. Can't help you with the calibration. Mine starts beeping at around 5-6 feet.

I didn't notice this message at first either, as I was always watching the camera or looking over my shoulder. Thankfully it is there though. The sensor is a pain when you have a trailer behind you if you forget to turn it off!

I'd call the dealer about it not beeping until about a foot. Mine starts at least 6' if not more. When I'm 1' it's a solid beep.

The system cant distinguish if something is in the way if the bumper is wet or dirty. Dont always rely on it... or else.

And yes, the message is always there. You can turn it off as mentioned above my hitting the odometer button.

I will have to go out and make sure the sensors are clean and then do a little parking lot ops checking or a wall will work. Thanks for the help.
