I believe he responded to you long before your post. In fact, in his initial post.

I found it!

Found the truck for sale in FL and am going to look at it Friday. Was just wondering why you got rid of it. It's still beautiful by the way. Lol

The truck obviously runs to redline for each gear when you're on the throttle...

What I'm trying to explain is this - My Flex, as an example, simply stays in a gear that makes sense for the speed. Doing 50mph and going to WOT, it seems to only need to kick down 2 gears (so probably 4th to 2nd).

In the truck, once you are cruising with little throttle, it always wants to be in 6th gear. This means romping on the throttle results in a bunch of downshifts. Even applying a little bit of throttle causes a downshift - Very, very, very annoying. The Flex does nothing of the sort.

Also - This is the stock behavior as well.

Yes, they should be able to easily sort it out with tuning. The shift firmness and shift points are the main reason I got a tune and it is so much better now. Wait till after your gears are in to get the tune right, your larger tires with the stock ratio may be making it seem worse.

Very, very sweet truck by the way, I really like the build!
