Thinking of going from '07 F150 SCab to a '10 SCREW
I'm thinking about trading in my 07 F-150 XLT Scab with the XTR (4.6)package for a factory ordered '10 F-150 Screw XLT/XTR (5.4). After reading this forum a few hours a day for the last week, I'm still not completely sold.. Can someone who made a similar jump to a '10 let me know what they find the main differences/similarities are between the two (other than the obvious length, look etc.)
Im just looking for some real world opinions, not the same 'ol story from the stealership. Anything would be helpful!
Also, does anyone have a decent pic of a Royal Red with Ingot Silver two-tone on an XLT? Ive searched forever and can only find the KR etc.

I just went from a 2007 FX4 Screw to a 2010 FX4 Screw. After sitting in it for 5 minutes I spent the next week attempting to talk myself out of buying the new one and failed. It's much nicer inside, the front seats are way more comfortable and there's much more room in the back seat. The 2010 has nav/sync/climate control, heated seats and mirror and came in at less money than my 2007 that didn't have those options (Ford family pricing incentives up here in Canada right now.) It also feels to have more power, the exhaust has a nicer tone to it as well. I like the 6 speed tranny, it pulls hard when you need it to. In all, it feels to be a more refined truck than the 07.
I had the chance to sit back in my 07 this morning (sold it to a friend) after a couple of weeks in the '10 and I was pretty happy with my choice.

Used prices on the 07 are still high, so if that holds true in your vicinity you may be able to sell it for close to what you paid for it back in 07, and the prices on the 10s may be way down. That makes it a no brainer to upgrade now, and a good time to sell that 07 by yourself instead of trading it in.

2004Shadow, thats awesome.
My truck is in perfect shape. Oil Changed done every 4500km, not a scratch on her. It has 63000 km's on it. Everything is OEM, good rubber, and never abused. After finding out what people are getting for their trade-ins Im going to be pretty firm with what I am willing to take for it. Has anyone from Ontario Canada recently traded in a vehicle? Im going to go price one out tomorrow and I assume they'll give me an idea of the trade-in value..

I could have got more for my trade-in if I sold it privately.... but then you pay more tax. You'll pay tax on the full price of the new truck instead of deducting the trade-in value and paying tax on that. I did the math and although I got less than I wanted for my trade-in, I still came out ahead by paying tax on almost half the amount.
