Drop hitch

Hey I was wondering what drop I need on my hitch. Is there anyone else running a 6 in with 35s that can tell me what drop they run. I bought a stainless ball and want a stainless drop hit but not sure what I need?

Assuming you have a trailer already, level it with the tongue jack and back the truck up to it and take measurements. Allow for rear end sag when hitched up.

Every trailer is different, so no one can tell you. As GLC said, take some measurements.

I never regret getting my adjustable height ball mount.

you need whatever drop is going to be required to have your trailer level behind you.

Typically, you aim to have the top of your TV hitch ball 1" higher than the top of the hitch of your leveled TT. This will keep your TT level once you have hitched up and the rear has settled down with the TT tongue weight.

Sometimes you need a drop, sometimes you need a raise.

Some might say you need your TT slightly nose down when hitched to help with sway control; you should do some further reading in the RV forums to get a better feel of what you need to do.
