I wonder if the Lincoln F150 clone has a cabin filter we could snag.

There is a kit available from Ford that allows you to install a cabin filter in the '04-'08 models. I don't see why there wouldn't be one for '09 and up.

They used to have a kit for the 97-99 trucks. I had one in my 99. Then they changed the design of the system and it was no more. I cannot figure why it's not standard.

i was talking about ford's idiot lights with needles, that's all the oil pressure and voltage are. when it's out of range the needle drops. and they're all in letters, make for a great diagnosing tool when trying to tell others you're somewhere between H and C, but closer to H....WTF anyone sat in a gm, their oil press gauge actually drops slightly when idling. i think corvette gauges are one of the nicest.

So go buy a Corvette. I'm sure you sat in the truck before you bought it.

Ford had to do that many years ago. Owners were going back to the dealer complaining of the drop in oil pressure, or driving a vehicle with low oil pressure and not knowing it. I am afraid to really know the pressure of these new vehicles with the thin oil. Bet it really drops low at idle.

I used to change my oil based on the idle pressure. When it dropped below a certain pressure, I would put in fresh oil and it would be back to where it should be.

Not to steal OP, but-

Mr Tbird, if you can point me to a thread or website of this "kit" from Ford for the 04-08 trucks , i would appreciate it. I thought it was established that ford DID NOT OFFER a kit nor anyone else for the 04-08. I know that the parts houses offer a so called filter for 04-08 but there is no where to put one. I know that a kit was offered for the 97-2003, but again if u can show us this kit from ford ,alot of us would appreciate it, thanks.
