Squeaky and Clunky Rear End

Squeaky and Clunky Rear End
Well I have a read a few posts here and there about people having squeaky or clunky rear suspensions so I thought I would share my experience.
I took my truck into the dealer today (2009 XLT Scab 6.5') to get in looked at and was informed that I need a new set of leaf springs. So the truck goes back to the dealer in a couple of days to get the new springs installed. I was a little surprised that the springs would be bad after only 30k Km. It is my first truck, so maybe I have a few things to get used too???
I will update this post when everything is done and let everyone know if the problem was solved.

In that other forum someone mentions they noise started when they got their trucked sprayed with rust proofing. I got my truck sprayed with Krown last fall. That's odd that a lubricant type spray would cause squeaking. Nonetheless, I will find out on Wednesday if the new leafs solve the problem. Thanks rootem for the link and I hope your issues get resolved as well.

Update:
I picked up my truck today and WOW what a difference. Noise is gone and the ride is a lot smoother. Makes me believe that the springs were probably defective from the factory since I always thought the ride was a little ruff. So for anyone that has silular symptoms, I would recommend getting the rear springs looked at while its still under warranty.

Same problem here with my 2010 Platinum. Creaky rear leafs and started shortly after under sprayed with Krown. Dealer said new leafs are on the way. I also have a terrible squeak coming from my front shock absorber which will be replaced. It sure is disappointing driving a 60K truck that sounds like an old julopy.
