Hidden Antenna

So I have been looking into getting rid of my antenna for awhile now, and I have $30.81 left on one of my debit cards and was thinking why not go ahead and buy it since its 29.99 and I have just enough for it and couldnt think of a better way to spend it lol. Now my question is, has anyone purchased this item yet? If so how is the reception and how easy is it to install. Sounds fairly simple..

Here is the link:

Just wanted to hear about it alittle before I made the purchase today.

i really don't think this antenna is going to work very well were will you mount it if its behind any metal it will not work and if you mount it on glass it will only work marginal i would stick with the factory antenna or a stubby.

I was going to mount it behind the glovebox. I hate the factory antenna and not to fond on a stubby on such a big truck. I rather have none.

It says....
Just peel and stick this AM/FM HIDDEN AMPLIFIED ANTENNA in a concealed (out of sight) area AND can be mounted anywhere in your vehicle such as in your glove box, on your dash, in your trunk, in your hatchback, in your rear window

So im thinking since its amplified I wont have the problem you speak of. And why would they say in a hidden place or on the window if that would affect the signal of this product.

Also there is a 30 day money back return... If it DOES do what you say.

Thumbs down

I agree ! That antenna inside a vehicle will have much of it receiving capability blocked by the truck's metal work ! Therefore it HAS to be amplified otherwise you'd get almost nothing ! AC2RC

The only thing you can do is buy it, and see if it works. Let us know if it works really well, because I may buy one myself. I really like the stubby I have now, but like one or two stations come in very crappily, and if this thing works, I may get one.

if you are receiving a station as you say crappy it will only make it worse you are better off with your stubby and it is a compromise compared to the antenna that came with the truck.

I would vote for the stubby. My reasoning is that that 'cap' thing that they give you sticks up about the same distance as the stubby. Just my $0.02.

There really isn't any way to "amplify" a radio reception. You can amplify whatever radio reception you're already getting, but if you're getting a crappy radio reception all you're doing is amplifying crap.

Be sure to let us know how it works out if you get it.

Here's a small one. https://www.f150online.com/forums/ap...get-5-off.html
The reception is very well for the size. I do lose reception when out of the city around 20km/13Mph closer then the factory antenna. Normal quality in the city.

It's the same stubby I have, and they are $20:

The one I have is the stubby. The bullett version is about 2/3s the size of mine. Here is the link: http://www.cravenspeed.com/products/...y-Antenna.html

Also, shoot Kellen an email and ask him about a promo code, he may have one for you.

Its cool no need, thanks for the persuasion. Ordered mine last night and was shipped out today, I just googled promo codes and found one for 10% off, believe it was SVTOFFROAD or something along the lines. Should have it fairly soon. Pretty sure im just going to PTM it.
