Ford says ecoboost will be going in ALL models

It sounds like the EB engine is enjoying the same level of approval as the Socialist Kenyan in D.C. now.... which is dismal.
I guess I like my trucks like the Tea Party and prefer traditional values which made them great.... 4WD, full size, V8, built tough, American, etc.

Exactly!
The EB has been in production in the Taurus/MKS/Flex/MKS for over a year now and I have heard of no issues. I trust that Ford has done their homework, and have seen the extensive testing they have gone through
While this is true, it has not been tested by the public in a true truck applicatoin . The Flex is not a truck and this engine and the front wheel drive is why I did not buy one. I have to tow things. Maybe it will be impressively fast and get good mileage, but will it haul payloads and trailers every day in a reliable fashion like the V-8s? That has yet to be determined.
I guess I'll find out next weekend when I drive the 2011s at Texas Motor Speedway.

With your antiquated thinking, I would still be farming with mules or a steel-wheeled Poppin' Johnnie and the price of food would be ten times higher. I bet that you have high speed Internet- why didn't you stick with dialup? Do you have a HDTV and cable or satellite? Why didn't you stick with an old TV and a rooftop antenna?
When gas goes back up you will change your tune.

What I've learned is that dealers (or salesmen at least) never know anything about the vehicles they're selling. It's useless for them to try to sell me a truck because I already know what they're telling me - and more. The order sheet shows the base 300 hp 3.7l V6 available in a reg cab and supercab 4x4 config.

I still don't understand the big debate - it's not like Ford is forcing anyone to drive the EB. In fact, they've actually given the consumer THREE optional engine choices besides the EB!!
Everyone talks like Ford is making the biggest mistake in automotive history... and while I don't think it's going to revolutionize the industry, I do think it's a step in the right direction. Only time will tell...

I'm taking my camera. Don't know if they'll allow photos/video, but if they do, I'll see what I can get. I know there are other forum members attending the event, so we should have plenty of review comments posted that same day!

Getting an ecoboost over a V8 has nothing to do with "values". It has all to do with do you embrace new technology or live like a caveman?

I bought the 5.0 Mustang GT because I like the technology the engine has. It is far superior to the many 4.6s I own/owned. I even think it is superior in technology to the GT500's 5.4, hence the reason I have one instead of the GT500. I even think the 3.7 V-6 Mustangs are pretty darn cool and I like the technology that gives me 37mpg in my daily commuter. None of these are trucks. I will embrace a turbo V-6 in a truck when I see it proven over time as the V-8s have been.

We have a EB Flex Limited in the garage right now. Great motor (so far)... zero problems -- about 10k miles.
