2011 Engine Pricing Released

I just read it on pickuptrucks.com

Here's the link for your viewing pleasure
http://news.pickuptrucks.com/2010/09...cing.html#more

5.0 is $1000 over the 3.7
3.5 EcoBoost is $750 over the 5.0
6.2 is $1995 over the 5.0

Looks like pretty much what everyone expected.

Also some more pictures of the 3.5 and a power graph comparing it to GM's 5.3, Toyota's 5.7 and Dodge's 5.7

Good info, now just have to wait and see what the EPA ratings are that go along with those numbers. I know my 6.2L is proving so far to be quite thirsty, but it has awesome power and pulls a load far better then the old 5.4s.

I have to replace some of our company trucks pretty soon. The 3.7 and 5.0 EPA ratings are the ones I really would like to see.

I'm curious, how thirsty is that 6.2? I'm sure those big BFG's and 4.10's don't help.

Hopefully the new Ford will do better on mileage then Ford's track record shows.

4.10's with 35's good. You need a lower gear the bigger your tires are to help maintain your gas mileage and relieve stress.
Anyway im curious too what kinda mileage do you get with the 6two?

The Raptor is also missing a lot of the aero dynamic aids that the normal F150s have. Like the front lower air dams are non existant on the Raptors, just a high set bumber. The Raptor is also 7"s wider then then a normal F150, be more rounded in its fender designs, I have to think it drags more wind with the extra width and the extra 2"s of hight. So I am not sure my mileage would be all that telling when it comes to a normal F150 with the 6.2L.

I was getting 11.5 in the mountains towing a 5K trailer @ 7000-12000 foot elivations. The higher elivations tend to give you a substantial increase in mileage. I was towing the same trailer last weekend in Kansas and Oklahoma and was only getting 9.5-10mpg running 75-80mph on the interstate it was a 150 mile trip.

Prior to my Colorado trip I had under 1000 miles on the truck and was only seeing around 12mpg combined hwy/city driving. That said the truck was new and not broke in, also it was fun playing around with the new motor too, it has a really nice exhaust sound, so i am sure I was running it harder then normal. lol .

I have not had a chance to get it out on the hyway without any sort of load behind to get a new empty reading. I think it is probably pretty well broke in now, it has about 3000 miles on it, with the last 2000 of those were towing miles.

I feel the next empty raod trip I might see better then the 12mpg I was seeing out of it before. I hope it settles in around 15-16 on the hyway without a load.
