I used VHT Niteshades. Gives the emblem a black look until the light hits it directly then has almost a black chrome look. Plus it doesn't completely wash out the FORD lettering.
Hmmm, I like that. I have been considering what to do about the badges to finish up my stormtrooper look. Did you do any prep on the badges? Do you think the same could be done to the F150 badges?

Thanks!

Only prep I did was an alcohol wipe. I'm thinking about pulling off my badges and doing the same thing. I'd just hate to break them, I'm sure they aren't cheap.

Did you take off the Ford one to do it or just tape around it?

Thin blue line= Cop

For the record, the Thin Red Line is a military reference. It refers to a thinly spread defense holding back a force superior in numbers.

Reaper, when you did your headlights/taillights did you nightshade the sides where you see it going around the light? It looks like it's a cover because on the taillights it looks thicker than I thought nightshade just sprays on..

Niteshades was used on the headlights. For the tails I used a semi-gloss black to cover the chrome sections and a light shot of niteshades on the red portion to darken it up a bit.
