Driver's side mirror always out of adjustment.

I am always having to re-aim my driver's side rear view mirror on my 2010 Lariat. This is an almost daily occurrence. Is this happening to anyone else? I am the only one who drives this truck and I don't take it through car washes. Any ideas on what the problem is?

Bet you have the memory seat/power mirrors/adjustable pedals, don't you?

I don't have the memory option, but I do have the power adjustable mirrors/pedals/seat. This happened to me a month ago and I thought I was going crazy. I too, am the only one that drives it.

The fix: no idea. It just stopped happening after a few weeks.

Mine does the exact same thing. I think it happens because the mirrors are so weak that they move when you shut the door. I have started shutting my door very easily, and it seems to be helping.

Something else to check. Make sure that after you adjust that you turn the adjustment know to the central neutral position. Otherwise any little bump could put the mirror back out of adjustment. As far as this problem, never had it.

I was going to suggest the same thing, especially if you have the power-fold mirror's and use them all the time, like I do (love those things!)

I have the same problem in my three week old XLT. I thought it was my imagination at first but now see others with the problem.

On my FX4 Luxury I have programed my seat memory to the key fob transmitter. It always sets it to my setting when I unlock the door. Noticed it set everything up including the mirrors which went out of adjustment after washing the truck.

The seat & mirrors are probably set up to the transmitter by someone in the dealership.

that's terribly ironic. A few weeks after I got my truck I backed out of my garage (something I have done thousands of times over the past 6 years) and broke the driver side mirror. The replacement mirror was the one that seemed to have the problem. So...yeah like you said, I wouldn't bother replacing them.

Yeah I do notice it whenever I fold my mirrors in but simply readjusting them and resetting the memory function seems to take care of it. I have no idea why it does this though.

Okay some of us are not as crazy as we thought. I guess I will Armor-All the dash and learn to love it (the mirror)...lol I do have a Lariat with the memory option. I will double check everything one last time but am pretty sure it is the mirror and not me. Thanks guys.

I really think that they should make a mirror that is strong enough to stay put when you open and close the door. I have never had mirrors do this on my Chevy. The sheet metal is so flimsy on this thing that the door ripples when you shut it. I am sure that is not helping matters with the mirror. I have resorted to shutting my door with barely enough force to latch it. Trying to get my wife to stop slamming the doors so hard.
