What changes do you want made to the new 2011 F150s?
I thought that if I started this thread and we posted what we didn't like Ford might read it and reconsider some of their choices.
Here is what I want:
1. The option of a 36 gallon tank with the ecoboost. With towing mileage of 8 there is not enough range with the 26 gallon tank. I see a lot of unhappy folks that bought one to tow their RV's having to stop every 3 or so hours for fuel.
2. Get rid of that stupid looking front license plate bracket.

+1 for the 36 gallon tank for the EB.
1. I would love to see more space behind the rear seat, with easier access to that space. How nice would it be to have somewhere to mount a sub or store misc. tools/straps/etc. besides under the seat, losing the benefit of the flat floor?
2. The ability to deactivate the HomeLink garage door button when the key is not in the ignition. I don't want someone to have access to my house by simply breaking the window to my truck and pressing a button, therefore I will not use the HomeLink in my truck. Seems like this could be a line item in the productivity screen menu...
3. I know they finally integrated the key fob into the key, now take it one step further and make it a flip key. The best of both worlds!
4. A single, one-touch button to roll up AND down ALL 4 windows (and the moonroof if equipped). And the ability to do so with the key fob (my wife's car does this with the key fob - very nice feature).
5. Add a boost gauge to the EB.
6. Rugged, lockable storage in the bottom of the center console.
7. Release the damn thing already! I've been waiting forever for the 2011 MY, only to see the release of the truck delayed... (not really a change to the truck, just a gripe).

hey johndeere I saw your post about the 8mpg in the test drive thread. Now my only fault with that is did you reset the full mpg? Did it get reset while someone else was driving it throwing off the mileage? I have hard time believing the 8mpg you saw. Too many variables at play. But yes a 36 gal tank option would be nice regardless.

Some DECENT looking head/tailamps!! I HATE the goofy "trapazoidal" looking parking/signal lamps moulded into the headlamps. Overall the truck looks like a"modernized" 92-96 F-150 except for those goofy headlamps! Plus the "euro chrome" tailamps have got to go!! I have seen pepole paint those body color or black-then they look sooo much better I want the 6.2l availble on the XLT!!! A better grille than the generic "ford plastic crap" for the raptor!!

2012 perhaps...
MyFord Touch
Upfitter Switches (still can't figure this one out, Ford?)
36 tank w/EB
Heated Steering Wheel
HID headlights
LED's EVERYWHERE else (tails, corner lights, security approach lamps, interior lights, console bin, even visor mirror lights)
Spray-In Liner for Platinum
Push-Button Start
Fix the driver-window-while-rolled-up rattle
...and most of all, better MPG.
Obviously nothing will happen to the 2011. But with the new model in 2014/2015, perhaps they'll do some tweaking for the 2012; sort of a refresh, yet a good deal less so than what they did for the '09MY. Who knows. With all this steady info about the '11's, no one is paying attention to what's around the corner. There's got to be a reason Ford screwed the pooch on MyFord Touch for 2011. Then again, with that little LCD screen change, perhaps they are happy with that until the next all-new model. Seems odd they'd redesign that area for just one very-short model year. They must sign multi-year contracts with suppliers and such to keep costs down. Ah well.

Mike over on pickuptrucks.com got a similar figure- he said 9-10 but I think he was on a 60 mile run.

They need to lose the goof ball ECOBOOST badge and either delete it all to gether or come up with something different. I am so sick of everybody having to be so politically correct. Ecoboost, ecotek, eco this and that. I am sick of it! I understand part of it is to be politically correct and the other part is to try to educate somebody that they can have power and good mileage at the same time but are people really that stupid in this segment? I know most of us are passionate and plugged in but it blows me away somebody could not have some basic understanding of what a twin turbo 6 is all about. I am no engineer or mechanic but geez.. Names like Cobra Jet, Mach, Cobra, Boss, GT, will live forever and be recognized. Fords marketing just dropped the ball here imo.
Why was the twin force name canned anyway?????????
