I just talked to my friend at the dealer, he said the switch will be here Tuesday or Wednesday. I should have it in by this weekend. I'm just worried about taking the panel apart to get to the switch. I don't want any of those stupid plastic clips to break, causing a rattle later on...

That panel is very easy even with the console, so no worries! Keep us updated. Ready to do this IF it works.

I wanted this to work really bad! Im sure something will come out or someone will find a way. Im too afraid to start messing with the computer. I want a tuner with custom tunes so maybe I can keep the switch and have whoever I going to go with tuner wise find a way to allow it to switch.

On a second note my clear plastic gauge cover has a crack in it! I'm fu(king mad about this! Hopefully they will cover it under warranty!

I would think so, my wife's 2010 escape had a cracked vent opening a few months back. They called it a"stress crack". They ordered the part and fixed it under the warranty. Which is good since the fineprint states the warranty dosnt cover interior defects.

ive taken one of the fx4 switches apart and found that the lock for the rear end is just a contact switch all one would have to do i think is pull the wires out of the connector of the switch and hook it up to there own switch i broke the switch i took apart to try to make it work on a side note it would lock in 2wd but the part i cut out let the switch travel to far and the copper contacts hit some resistors and burned up the switch also if the switch is ever unplugged it defaults to locked and 4wd low
