Smile 2010 f150 4x4 rear spacer issue

Hi Ford Folks

I have a new 2010 F-150 4x4 STX and need to remove the spacer to lower the truck some as I have had back surgery. I ordered new 2x4 u bolts as was stated in some of the posts, and they are even longer.

So if any one has the secret of what u bolts to get let me know.

Thanks

if you still have enough thread on them to clamp them down properly just go with them. thats why man created hacksaws to remove unwanted metal.

As I understand it they can only be used once as they stretch and are no longer
save to use. Also the metal is quite hard and not easy to thread or cut.
I could use spacers but why make it look like an after thought.
These units are square on top and bolt down to the axle shaped bracket on the bottom.

They must be torqued down in a 4 different setting cross pattern.
