Truck is gone....

Traded in a pristine '09 KR over the weekend. Great truck but after a year without a fast car, the itch was too strong to ignore.

I'll miss those cooled seats in the summer but the thrill of acceleration on the new car will more than make up that loss.

Thanks for the wonderful amount of information I found on this site.

And happy miles of smiles.

Traded it for a 2011 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500.

Hopefully you wont regret getting rid of your truck. I had a truck a few years back and sold it to buy a Z06. A year later I sold it and now im back in a truck. This time im saving up for a play toy so i can keep my truck. Hopefully by next spring ill have me a 04 Whipple Terminator. Good choice in cars though, the new 2011 GT500s are great looking machines.

Very nice choice. I'm sure you're well aware, but those puppies respond really well to some very basic mods... a pulley and a tune is worth considerable power, albeit risky when it comes to warranty claims.

I've got a close friend with a decently modified '07 GT500 - he's putting 820 to the rear wheels. That car is a blast!

It's sad when my Fox body with all the bolt-ons (H/C/I, exhaust, injectors, you name it) is getting whipped by the new cars with very little work, some even stock. Kills me, but I'm excited at the same time. Who would've ever thought we'd see that day when Mustangs made 412 - 550 horsepower straight from Ford? I love it!

GT500 is bad *** machine! I was just kicking around the idea of trading my truck in on a 2011 GT but think id regret it somehow. Ive got a 99' Z28 LS1 with some mods and its pretty quick 13.2@106mph but would love to have 2011 GT which runs mid 12.5-12.7's stock and has all the toys and comforts of my F150.

I'm sure they're better than mine! When my kids started driving, our insurance jumped from $1300 a year to $5900 a year. I can't wait for them to get out of college!

Personally, I got sick of ducking my head to get into such a low car - my 03' Eclipse. And the fact that the retro muscle cars turned it into a women's car. I prefer to climb-up and I'm only 39. I would have looked into the 6.2L F150, living in WI that is.

I had the chance to drive my friend's 2011 GT after we put on the flowmasters this weekend. 5.0 w/412 hp and 3.73 rear was a really nice combination. Pulled like a little beast in almost every gear. Best wishes with your GT 500. I can only imagine what that thing must drive like! :-)

You should have kept the truck! I have a 5.0 GT for my fun and the truck for utility. The GT500 should provide plenty of fun.

Good luck with the stang. It's a fun vehicle for sure. We'll miss you, but I have a suspicion that you'll be back in a year or so after missing having a truck.
