Trailering an F150

Not sure if this is the right forum or not, but my dad just purchased a 2010 Ford F150 Lariat SuperCrew that he plans to pull behind his motorhome, on a trailer (full trailer so no miles go on truck). He has some questions on what size trailer to get. Does anyone know the recommended length, width and load capacity that is needed to safely haul these trucks?

Thanks much in advance.

Brian.

I would look for no less than 16 to 20 ft long, and have at least 8000lb capacity. That is a little more than needed, but you don't want a trailer that is on the ragged edge of it's capacity hauling a truck like that.

If I were doing it, I would want one where the trailer was a little longer than the truck. Also, it needs to be over 80 inches wide to make it easier to load. Needs 8 lug hubs and heavy axles.
That is the way I would do it. I would not skimp on this thing. Because you don't want to constantly be wondering if the thing is still back there or not.
