Keep the stock unit and add a small amp and some aftermarket speakers with either a line out converter to do it cheap or a sound processor to make it sound better. you could spend anywhere from $400 and up for a decent system without going nuts, or you could go all out and drop $1000 before doing subs but that will get you some high end components and a nice multi channel amp.

No one can give you a price w/o knowing what you're looking for in a radio.
Do you just want to listen to music or are you looking for a jammin system with DVD, nav, and all the other bells and whistles?
FWIW, I bought a Pioneer Avic 120bt from 6ave.com for $898 not long after the radio was released.

I'd also suggest looking to see if you can find Pioneer,s older Z110bt, which isnt that big a diffrence then the 120bt. Then get a Scoshe install kit, and a metra wiring harness, and you can have some much better sound, Nav, handsfree calling. Yuor stock speakers will actually even sound better b/c there is a built in cross over which you can cross over at like 63hz high pass and remove most of the bass that is distorting the stock speakers which they cant reproduce anyway
