Shutting Off Annoying Features

Hello All,

I have a 2008 F150 SCrew XLT.

There are two features that find highly annoying.

1) The automatic door locks - As in all the doors lock every time you start the truck.

2) The seatbelt dinger. - When I'm up north on my property I don't want to wear my seat belt. I also don't want to just plug in the seat belt behind me because hit hits me in the side.

Can these features be turned off on a 2008?

Thanks

Tom

Pgs 183, 184 in your manual.

1. Turn the ignition switch to the on position. DO NOT START THE
ENGINE.
2. Wait until the safety belt warning light turns off. (Approximately one
minute)
• Step 3 must be completed within 30 seconds after the safety belt
warning light turns off.
3. For the seating position being disabled, buckle then unbuckle the
safety belt three times, ending in the unbuckled state.
• After Step 3, the restraint system warning light (airbag light) will be
turned on for three seconds.
4. Within approximately seven seconds of the light turning off, buckle
then unbuckle the safety belt.
• This will disable the Belt-Minder feature for that seating position if it
is currently enabled. As confirmation, the restraint system warning
light will flash four times per second for three seconds.
• This will enable the Belt-Minder feature for that seating position if it
is currently disabled. As confirmation, the restraint system warning
light will flash four times per second for three seconds, followed by
three seconds with the light off, then followed by the restraint system
warning light flashing four times per second for three seconds again.

i heard this will also turn off airbags and and 90% of all life safety things like seat belt locks and what good would a seat belt do if it don't lock and lets you shift forward?

ill stick to the owners Manuel where it tells how to shut it off!
