Anyone with a Camper Shell yet ?

I am looking to put one on my truck and would like to see which you all might have gone with and what your opinions might be on the shell you purchased. Currently I am looking at the Snugtop XTR but still waiting on clarification as to if they make it to fit the long bed. Below is a pic:

Anyone out there with a shell please post up a pic, and any feedback you can provide on the product. Both likes and dislikes, THANKS!

I went with the Leer 100xq. I've really great experience with Leer products in the past. The fit and finish is absolutly perfect. As for them making for the long bed I'm not sure. There are some more pictures of it in my profile if you want to see more.

That is nice! If you dont mind me asking or if you would pm me, what did it run ? I can see that shell working out nice, with a rack and some lights mounted up to it =)

I have a ARE cq on my 2010 fx4. I had a couple issues which they quickly resolved so very happy with customer service. I have only had it a few months so can't comment on durability but seems they back what they sell.

Thanks. I got about every option they offered and it was around $2300. Options I got were the keyless entry, removable front slider,3 accessory power outlets, led interior light, and just the rails installed for the rack. I did look at the snug top one like in the pic above and decided I wanted to be able to take the top racks on and off to fit in the garage.

Have a Leer 100XQ. I'd go with Snugtop next time.

Hiddenmickey what don't you like about yours? Mine is perfect>only thing with mine is I don't like how it seals at the back glass to the tailgate. I think it will take a minor adjustment to make it better.I'd like to see how yours closes and seals.

I've looked at just about every shell available and I'm either going to go with a Leer or an ARE. I really liked the Snugtop XTR until I saw one on other F-150. The bottom sides of the shell where it meets the bed of the truck really hang over strange. I just didn't like the way that it looked.

I ordered a shell. Had to wait a while but it finally came it. Took the truck to the shell dealer. They put it on and it fit like crap. Like #8 crap. Especially at the right front and left rear. I told the dealer I would not accept the shell. They sent it back to be "fixed." About four weeks later, the allegedly sent a whole new shell back. They put it on the truck. The new one fit like #5 crap. Large gap between shell and bed on the left rear, and a gap I could put my fingers in on the right front. Dealer said take it or leave it. Said he would give me all of my money back, but Leer wouldn't fix it again. Since I was leaving for a trip in two days and needed the shell, I was stuck and had to take it.

I think the camper shell looks nice, but it turns the truck into a large suv.
