Level or lower....???

Im tired of the rake my truck has, it doesnt look too bad since its a single cab, and doesnt look as bad as an extended cab, but i dont like it i want a level look..... My question, would it be easier to lower the rear or get a level kit for the front.... WOuld the level up front make it look like too high over all? Also, what would be the easiest DIY?

Level by lowering the rear with drop shackles. It's easiest and cheapest, and looks the best.

Shackles would be easier. Also, leveling in the front will make the truck look really high and not handle as well.

Lower the rear. Shackles can be installed in like 45 minutes.

With shackles do you need to change shocks or anything... or is it simply the shackles that you change?

what size drop and about how much does a shackle kit run? What brand is good? In the past Ive only lifted trucks not lowered, its all new to me. Which kinda makes me want to do a level on the front and eventually slap some larger tires on it.... Thoughts?

Ask yourself this: What real-world function would you gain by raising the truck? Are bigger tires worth the loss in fuel economy, power, and ride quality?

and what is there to lose when lowering your center of gravity, less wind-drag resistance, and improved gas mileage?

If its a 4x4 truck just remove the iron blocks under the axels. No cost at all and easy..

Shackles are under 50$, would take 30 minutes,45 max. Improved look, better ride.

If you are 4x4, you have 1&3/16th of a block you could remove.

Can someone post a pic of the lowered back using either shackles or iron block removal method.
