Factory preset heat/cool fan speed?

A couple of reasons I don't do that are:
1. My old school habits of manually turning everything off like radio, HVAC, lights, etc when I'm shutting off a vehicle just give me peace of mind and
2. In the winter I normally remote start the truck and let it run for only 1-2 minutes so if I don't shut off the heater when I turn off the engine it would just be blowing cold air when I get in.

I think my concerns have been satisfied.
Yesterday I went back to my dealer service dept. and we got into a 2010 and 2011 F150 to test the HVAC system. In short the 2010 functioned just like mine, where the fan speed will come on at a different setting than when you last turned off the Climate Control power button. However the 2011 is not programmed this way, the fan speed will actually remain at the same setting you last left it at when you turned off the CC.
Go figure.
