Potential 2010 Owner... Need some advice
So last September, had to get rid of my 2004 F-150, damn near cried at the dealership while I bought an 09 Honda Accord. Still have my 99 F-150, going strong with 145K! Anyway, went to a dealership in Evansville, IN. (Town and Country) drove a 2010 Super Crew XLT 4x4 5.4, MSRP $38,785. Sales guy came out the door at Invoice Price, around $35,000. Throw in the cash back and I was at around $31,000. Before the cash back and incentives how much more room do you all think I have? I am convinced I can get this guy down to $32,000. Then throw in the $3,500 cash rebate and the extra $1,000 on trade. Or I will go with the 0% whichever makes more sense. Just want some advice or pointers. Any help appreciated. THANKS!

While the deals are a plenty on the 2010s right now, the F-150s are pretty much the only 2010 models I see left on lots around here right now, Ford, Chevy or otherwise. And, there are TONS of them. At this point, I would wait for the 2011. Much better powertrain choices and they already have $2500 cash back.

can a person combine ford's 2,500 customer with the 0% for 60?
i was also looking at a 2010 xlt.. but now im waiting for the 2011.
now im looking at the stx and fx4 models. i dont like the chrome on the xlt anymore.
my problem is i cant justify paying 35 grand for something if imma do my own mods. im wondering if its better to get a stx and use the extra cash i would save for mods
i wish the interior of the xlt and stx came in black tho

You can't combine rebates with the 0% for 60. The 0% is only good if you are going to take the whole time to pay it.
The nice thing about the rebates is sometimes it's better than the 0%. Have your sales person calculate both after running a credit check. In order to get Ford financing be prepared to show your income for the last 6 months (minimum). It's harder to get approved for Ford than other banks.
I went with non-Ford financing for the 2010 F-150 and got a better rate than Ford with the rebates. If you get the rebates, you can get an extra $1000 from Ford at a 4.5% rate. I only got $5000 in rebates (compared to the $6000 I could've gotten) but it was less in the long run than getting the Ford financing due to getting a rate of 3% from my bank!
I got an STX because I didn't really justify spending the extra on the XLT.. I also got a 2010 because the '11's didn't have many incentives, and there were plenty of '10's left on the lot. My truck was around the $35,000 range and before incentives I had the sales person down to $32,500. You can definitely talk the sales person down. If you don't think you can, go to a dealer who doesn't make commission. There was one in my area and it was easy. I just told them, this is what I want and for this much (based on another dealer's offer) and she said let me see if I can do that. They came back with a yes. Haha. I love my Ford F-150 so far!

If the actual invoice was 35K, sorry but I don't see you getting it for 3K below invoice. That's even under A plan. Double check your rebates too, I got 6500 just yesterday from Ford in rebates. I do live in a different state, though.
Good luck....
I grew up in Evansville oddly enough!

i believe the 6500 rebate is for XLT only

I'm with you, I'd rather have a '10 also.
Go back in on Saturday. It is the last day of the month, and that will make a difference. Not sure how much, but it will.
If that does not work, wait until the 2011s start showing up. The 2010s will drop a bunch when the new models show up.
If you wait, again, try to go in at the end of the month. A lot of dealers get itchy to make their end of the month numbers.
Time is on your side. That puts the ball in your court.
