09-11 CB installs?

Has anyone installed a CB in their 09-10 truck? Got any pics?

Yes and it sucks with a console. Getting ready for my new Cobra Black Chrome Stealth Radio RFX Version. I had to use two brackets for the coax clearance on bottom. Don't laugh at my antenna, I have a 10K with 27" shaft ordered to get the coil 6.5" above the cab.

Heat kills transistors !! Make sure that in any installation there's plenty of ventilation ! That installation in a console doesn't seem to be the best for the radio.

How did you mount the antenna in the bed?

I built the mount with some 2"x1/4" angle for the uprights and 1 3/4" x 1/4" cross bar, I welded 2x1/4" washers on the botton of the uprights for the feet and bolted it to the frame with the factory bed bolts "I hate grounding issues" There is a hole under the back seat in the jack cubby that needs enlarged a bit for the coax to fit threw "Don't forget a rubber grommet here to keep the water out. As for heat in the console, Don't worry a bit about it. There is plenty of air space around the radio and it's far better than being stuck between the roof and headliner in the radio cubby of a semi tractor or laying on the dash in the sun.
