Tire Size

I have a 2010 F-150, LXT extented cab, 6.5 ft bed. Tire size 245/75/17. Im trying to figure out what are the biggest size tires i can put on my truck. I dont want to put on a leveling kit of a lift kit but i want bigger tires then what i have now. Will 265/70/17 fit on my truck?

Yes they'll fit. They're only 0.2" taller in diameter and still not as wide as other tires available from the factory.

Just remember that if you go larger, you will need to recalibrate your speedometer. The dealer can do this if it was a factory option tire size, otherwise you can get a programmer.

You only need to recalibrate if the tires is bigger in overall diameter. If they are fatter, but no bigger around, then you are fine.
However the stock rims are probably 7 inch, so you will limited on width. I have 265/75R17s on my XLT, so you should be fine there. They are stock. You might get away with a 275/70R17 if somone makes one, or a 285/65R17, but that would be pushing in on the width. all three of those will be very close to the same OD.

He can't put that big on without a leveling kit if it is a 2wd. He has not stated, whether it is a 2wd or 4wd. It makes a big difference. If 2wd, 265/70R17 are about as big as he can go.
