To repeat my recent post - to seal the bed/gate area get some 3/8" and 1/4" foam stick- on tape . Available at www.mcmaster.com for one. There's quite a large gap there whichbecame obvious when I got my first tonneau cover .

I had a seal like that when I installed my PE Jackrabbit cover... the first time someone sat on the tailgate the tape was ripped off when they got up.

I never tried to seal it again, I just keep anything that can't get wet away from the far end of the bed.

Must have installed it on the tailgate rather than on the box | cover.

Correct, the cover has a rubberish seal that still leaves a small gap when closed. Putting the tape on the tailgate was my only real option.
