Talking Sct x3 tuner...

Ordered a SCT X3 Tuner this evening from Torrie @ http://fastpartsnetwork.com He answered every e-mail promptly and was very helpful. Now hopefully I will be able to get some power back, firm up the transmission, and correct the speedometer. Well I guess I'll will have to wait and see...

Just curious what made you decide to go with this company for your SCT? Are you actually getting custom tunes with your purchase?

Torrie is pretty popular out there and does do custom tuning. It's rumored when the new SHO's came out he popped a motor tuning one (his?) and Ford denied the claim.

Not surprising. A learning curve - Ford allegedly took 15-19 months perfecting the "Ecobeast" calibrations.

From that link it looks like he can do all sorts of different platforms -but can he do F150's well - and specifically, 09+ TCM's? For example - that Roush truck dyno looks purty weak - (but to be fair is only @ 7 psi boost).

There were a couple of reasons why I chose this company. I have heard nothing but positive comments about Torrie, and also I got one for my wifes 03 Escape at the same time. So then he hooked me up with a discount once I purchased both tuners online.

Thumbs up

Update: I flashed it with 87 performance tune the day before yesterday, and man what a BIG difference. It improved my throttle response, tightened up the transmission, gave it a little more power, and corrected my Speedo. Definately well worth the money spent. Now it is time to see the improved gas mileage on my 2800 mile trip from Cali to Maryland on Saturday.
