BLACKOUT's 2010 F150 MOD progression thread
I figured I would put together one thread with the mods that i do to my new truck instead of having a bunch of random threads like I did with my BLACKOUT FX4.
A photo of the old truck and the new truck..
I will update this thread as I do new things to my truck
This weekend I had a Banks Monster dual rear exhaust installed. I also painted the tips black, First use scuffed them up with a red Scotch Brite pad and applied multiple *light* coats of low gloss hi temp engine paint. The Banks system sounds AMAZING!!
I also tinted and painted the OEM 3rd brake light. First i applied 2 light coats of NightShades and let it dry for 3 hours, Second I taped off the brake light and bed light and painted the outer edge with Satin Black paint.

I also bought a new set of 09+ Badges to customize. First I scuffed up the chrome with a red Scotch Brite pad, Second I used body filler to cover up the FX2, Lightly sanded off the excess and then I coated them with Self Etching Primer and last I finished them off with 4-5 light coats of VHT satin black wheel paint.. I used this paint because it hardens nicely and shouldn't fade like the Krylon Fusion did.
I still have not picked out which font I want to use on the bar part of the badge.. I'll update once I decide and install them.

I also picked up a set of ICON Vehicle Dynamics 0-3" Coilovers. I hope to have them installed later this week.
I may add these sweet Total Chaos upper control arms to the coilovers to eliminate the factory ball joints and maximize travel.

Truck looks great and I can't wait to see the finished product. Man I would give my left one to have white bumpers. I am gonna be taking mine off soon and getting the front and rear line-x'd cause all of this chrome is killing me. I have the single Banks exhaust and it sounds great I was thinking of painting mine as well and after seeing yours I think I will do this soon.

I am also toying around with what I'm going to do about the oval badge on my tailgate since PatriotDecals cannot make the FORD overlays anymore.. I painted this one with 6-7 light coats of NiteShades and then sanded the raised FORD lettering, It actually came out pretty good but this was just a test run..
