New to the site here, I have a 2010 scew lariat and am looking to level and put on 35's. Can you post pics with stock rims 20's, and 35's or even 33's. Also can you give power loss, fuel mileage and any issues you are having. I have read about the traction control issues, wandering what 35's will fit without rubbing or if this is possible, 33's seem to look small. Thanks for all your help.

 

I think you can rum 35's depends on what tire you choose. Some with aggressive tread patterns will rub and you might need front spacers...33's seem small because most of the tires are already 32" that come on them. From what i have seen a 35 can be used if you want. 33 is recommened just because there are absolutely no fitment issues. My old truck in in my gallery with leveling kit and 33's. There isnt that much differenece between the newer ones and it if you want an idea. For me i havent done anything to my new truck , but my last one had 3.55 gears and was a turn with 33's and 35's. I cant comment on my 2010 yet! There are a ton of these threads if you search for them for better answers then i gave. Good luck

 

If you want 35's with the stock 20 inch wheels, your best bet is a narrower tire like the 285/65-20 (35x11.50) BFG AT KO. The OEM 20x8.5 inch wheels have 6.5 inches of backspacing which tucks the wheel in really far. A lot of owners have found that 305mm (12.50 inch) wide tires will actually touch the upper ball joint/control arm at rest due to the 6.5 inch BS. THis is worse with tires with aggressive sidewalls like most mud tires.

 

I went and talked to an off road company in my area today to look into getting my 09 ford screw lifted, tires, etc... and there was a truck the same there that had been done for a customer. They had a 3in lift and after market 33's and it looked the same height as my truck pretty much. Could barely tell with them both sitting beside each other. I would say go with atleast a 35.

 

I have a 6" lift on 20" rims and 35" tires....getting 13 to 13.5 mpg. Still keeps up with the best of them!

 

that is amazing you are getting that kind of fuel mileage, mine is getting 13.5 stock, but that is all in town, on the highway I get about 16.5 to 17, I have 3.73's. Thanks for all the info everyone, would I be better off getting a 20 in rim with less backspacing to avoid rubbing, if yes what amount, and would this eliminate rubbing issues? Also, are you running a programmer, intake, ect.

 

i will let you know tomorrow afternoon with pictures, i am doing a truck with 35's (bfg a/t0 20" xd monsters, 2" rear lift, and 5100's at 2" in the front, should fit fine.

 

im also interested. going to put on a AS 2'' level with a 3''readylift block lift this weekend. i wana run 35x12.5x20 TOYO M/Ts on BMF novakanes with 5'' backspacing. i wonder if they will fit

 

we almost ordered the toyos however ive had a few trucks with them and the bfg are just better for a truck that is 99% street driven! and the bfgs kick *** in the ny winter the toyos however are also awesome in the snow given you have enough space for stuff like snow buildup this was my fear with the 12.5 vs 11.5 of the bfg that when its cold and ice builds up rubbing will become more of an issue. i have a set of 35" toyos on 951 moto metals i could mount up if your interested in how they would fit.

 

the 2010+ is a bit better in that aspect. I had minor tire rub on my 2007 with 325/60/20's on stock rims with 1/4" spacers (no issues with the spacers) and with the same setup on my 2010 it's almost non-existent even at full lock. The upper control arms look a bit different on the newer models.

I was wondering if you have a just a leveling kit and what is it? Those tires measure 35.4"? They look really good. I wasn't going to go with 35's because a lot of them that I have seen look too big but yours looks perfect. Do you have a side profile picture?

that would be great man it would be greatly appreciated. what are the backspacing on the 951's. i would like to have a definite answer if the rims and tires would fit. i would hate to spend $3,000 on rims and tires and have them just sit there in the garage. and i dont want to start another thread about a specific rim and tire/leveling kit. your truck looks bad *** by the way. hopefully i can get me leveling kit and blocks thrown on tomorrow.
