Picked up a 2011 Lariat with bench seats--heat only. There are only two heat settings shown--are they Hi / Lo or Med / Lo. Thanks

Must be a change from the 09/10. Mine are hi/med/lo.

 

my 10' FX4 has only hi/lo as well

 

My 2010 HD has h/m/l settings.

 

i have a 2009 Lariat with buckets and heat for both driver and passenger. the dash buttons have 3 red lights when turned on. each push of the button reduces the heat. so press once, all 3 lights on. press again 2, again 1, and again = off. looks like 3 settings of heat.

 

Just got done testing an 11 with the bench, and it had only high and low.

You should be thankful you have off/hi/low. 2010 Escape Limited's have only off/on.

 

Based on data so far, maybe the bench gets two heat settings and the bucket gets 3 heat settings, or all 2011's get 2 heat settings.

 

Are the 3 setting heated seats, heat only or climate control ?

The heated seats have 2 versions in the 2009 + ( at least it is what the diagrams show ).

Climate control ( heat & fan ? )

The heat only has 2 settings, and works like the 04-08 MY trucks with the heated seat module & switch status ( hi-lo ).

The climate control uses the module communications network for operating the seats, and shows 3 levels.

Have not seen one in person, this is just what the diagrams show.

 

The bucket seat option in the Lariat gets the flow through console/floor shifter and heated/cooled seats vs. heated only for the standard bench/column shifter. I suspect the bench is 2 heat settings only and the bucket is 3 levels of heat and cooling.

 

FX4 w/ Sport Leather buckets and center console, two electric heat settings. Has the air ducts under the seat, but only for pushing air to the rear passengers feet, not the drivers seat.

If there are only 2 settings, how could you have a "Med"?
