Registered Weight Class

PA truck owners please.

I have a 2010 Ford F150 Crew Cab. It is Registered Class 2 from the dealership (but never got a Class 2 sticker). So until now when i received my registration renewal in the mail did i realize this is Class 2.

Regardless it being registered as Class 2 I have no intentions of hauling that much weight. If I wanted to then I would have purchases a F250 (are these now class 3 ?

Anyways how can i get this thing registered back to Class 1 like a 1/2 ton truck is.

I don't think you can register it as a Class 1, that has a 5000# gross weight limit. I betcha you are over 5000# with a full tank of gas and your fat butt in the truck. You are even pushing a class 2 at 7000# max. The difference is only $22.50 a year, not worth the effort.

My 03 RAM 1500, 06 F150 XLT, 09 F150 FX4, and 10 F150 Lariat all were Class 2. All registered in Pennsylvania.

I'm in Pa. and my 09 Screw with 6.5 foot bed is registered as a class 3 from the dealer, because of it's weight, I guess.

I did not put the sticker on it, but I have re-newed it as a class 3.

Yep - over 7000# is class 3. To the OP - you are lucky your dealer didn't make it a class 3.
