If you are worried about it send a sample of oil in for analysis. This should give you a better piece of mind if it's safe to go 10000 miles or not. I recently sent in a Mobil 1 sample after 4500 miles on my 09. I'm now running motorcraft semi synthetic and will do another analysis to determine if Mobil 1 is protecting my engine any better. If it's not a significant difference I will stick with motorcraft as it is significantly less expensive.
