Your Wax of choice?

It's been 10 yrs since I have owned a vehicle I cared to wax and polish!!! Now I can't wait for some sunshine!!

So let's have it:
1. what wax do you like to use the most?
2. What polish for the chrome wheels/grill?

Ive used Zaino on my sports cars with great results. Thing is you have to put multiple coats of Zaino on to see the best results. With my truck its quite a task to wax it so I like to use something that goes on easy and comes off easier. I put a coat of Adams Buttery Wax every few months with great results.

I use meguiars NXT 2.0 tech wax and their clay bar kit. For the chrome I use Mothers chrome polish. Zaino makes the best tire shine (the only one I have found that doesnt spin off) but it is expensive. So far the second best tire shine I have found is Meguiars gel shine. It holds up well to weather and only has minimal spin off.

I couldn't even tell you guys all the stuff I use on the truck, it is all meg's pro stuff though. I usually place a hefty order with ADS each February to restock my inventory after a summer of detailing my car and others. I'll take a week off and spend the entire week solid 8-10 hours each day at the beginning of March each year and pour over the truck from top to bottom, every nook and cranny, take off all the plastic, flares, seats out, etc, etc. I literally clean everything on the truck inside and out.. It is just a bit OCD, I know

I had great results with meg's consumer 3 step system (clay, cleaner-1, polish-2, wax-3) in the past if anyone is interested in products that are readily available and produce excellent results.

I use Meg's NXT 2.0 Some people don't like the 'clear wrap' look it gives but on certain colors I like it.

Loved it on my white FX4 and it lasts a long time as well. At least 6-8 months for sure.

I like Meg's NXT also. Good protection, covers up fine scratches and has a nice shine. Not deep but with a carnauba topper (#26) I think it looks fantastic.

I use Meguiars Gold Class if I want to pick up something quick from Target or whatever.

Anything Meguiar's is a good product. I love the shine and protection NXT 2.0 leaves on my '94 White Lightning as well as the Mineral Gray Stang GT and Dark Blue Pearl STX I recently traded. I know it will look good on my Race Red STX and the wife's Bordeaux Red Fusion.

There is a dedicated forum here for detailing.

I have used several brands of products including. I have settled with S100/P21S paint cleaner and wax. It takes about 15 minutes to apply/remove on my Supercrew, very quick and easy to work with. It lasts 3-4 months and looks great. About the only negative is more dust/lint gets on the paint vs. Zaino.
