If you want to know MPG averages. The ford sales guy showed me his recordings as he traveled across the country in it to do the test drives. He was getting 23mpg doing average of 72mph. It was a completely loaded FX4.

I am trading in a 2007 XLT 5.4 that has been an excellent towing mule. But with "the truck" becoming my DD I had to upgrade a bit and hopefully get some better gas mileage, too.

Here's hoping my faith in Ford doing their homework will not fail me.

Pics to come when it arrives and is safely home.
When did you order your truck? I ordered mine on 12/28/2010 and they still haven't notified me of any delivery date or date of manufacture or anything.

I ordered my King Ranch Ecoboost on Dec. 17th. My dealer told me that it was the first day that FORD opened up the ordering for the Ecoboost. We tried a couple of times before the 17th and he wasnt showing any prices in the computer for it.

I havent heard anything yet on a build date on mine so far.

You gotta let us know how it is on you daily driving for fuel ecomony. I ordered mine on the 13th and I am going crazy waiting. Please keep us posted on your findings, thanks!

Also on the above quote did the truck have the regular mirrors or the Larger towing mirrors? If it had the smaller mirrors it had the 3.55 or the 3.31 gears, which would be better on the highway. I went with max towing and got the 3.73 gears; I was hoping to get that 23mpg at 72mph with mine but I'm not so sure I will.

Congrats again on getting your new truck hope you love it!

My first post so we'll call it beginners luck. I did an inventory search from the Ford site last night and found one that matched my wish list. It was ordered for the lot at my local dealer. XLT 4x4 scab with tow package, off-road, and ecoboost. I went to the local dealer today. They didn't think they were building them yet. He found it in their system and said he could sell it because nobody else had put money down. I pulled out my x-plan pin and said "I'll take it!" He found $4k in rebates on top of x-plan. Build date was 1/6 and delivery date is 1/31. My current farm truck is a '98 Dakota 5.2L 5-speed regular cab so this will be a big upgrade!

X-plan is a discount for companies that do business with Ford (like buy fleet cars). There is an even better plan for employees and their families.

Correct me if i'm wrong but I think A-plan is for the employees and family.

Someone was saying, and I forget who, that if you own Ford stock for 1yr. 100 shares at least, Ford will give you x-plan discount?

If yours is already built, probably okay, but Ford is idling the Dearborn plant due to a shortage of parts for the 3.7 and 3.5 engines. Parts are made in the Cleveland engine plant.

Add me to the list...Black SuperCrew 6.5' FX4 EB w/FX Luxury, Navigation, Moon Roof...ordered last week...dealer already has the VIN but I am told the truck will come in mid march...gonna be hard to part with my 99 5.4 XLT with its minuscule 66,000 miles and all the mods. If I hadn't bought a turbo snowmobile 2 seasons ago I don't think I would have gone with the EB but I am sold on the new turbo motors...very cool.
