For those who were supposed to get your trucks this week. Did they come in?

A large rail shipment was delayed for this past week coming from the plant in KC, my truck was on it... Anyways, the train has been rolling now for 3 days. Should be any time now.

I'm almost excited as you guys are. If I had the option, I'd fly up there and drive it back from the factory, I want to hear what these things will do MPG wise

Mine shows a build date on the online window sticker of 1/6. It shows a delivery date in Ford's system of 1/31 but currently shows that is on a ramp in Dearborn waiting to ship. The dealership says the last update on the system was 1/15 so they aren't sure where it might be. He said he has seen the system say it is still at the plant when the transport pulled into his lot with the vehicle. Does make every day exciting!

How long after you placed your order did you get your VIN number and expected build date? I placed my order a week ago, I really want my new truck.

I didn't order mine. I used the ford.com inventory search and there were about 10 ecoboosts ordered for dealer stock in my area. I just picked the one that matched my needs, went to that dealer and told them I wanted it when it arrives. He didn't even know they were about to start getting them yet. The only thing it didn't have that I need was max towing package (had trailer tow instead) so they are adding the brake controller when it arrives.

Wow, you can get a Platinum with an EB? There is a Limited Lariat at my dealer right now with the 6.2. I was inches from buying it!!

Yup, in the Platinum you can get the 5.0, EB or 6.2. The 6.2 would be nice on the few times I really put my foot into it but the rest of the time I would have to feed it. I don't want to do that. I liked the 5.0 a lot until drove the EB. Now I'm waiting on Ford.

I too have been looking at the ecoboost, but I want to see real-world numbers before I do anything.

I would really like to see what kind of gas mileage a Leveled 4x4 Ecoboost with 35 inch tires would get.

Congrats to all the new ecoboost owners, let us know how you like them, and what kind of fuel economy yall are getting!

I don't know what you will be towing but max tow isn't the same as the regular tow with an added brake controller.
The rear springs are heavier and the steering ratio is different to name a couple. and the mirrors are larger for seeing your towed trailer.
5000 lbs is the max for the trailer tow package, while max tow can go all of the way up to 11,300 depending on the trucks configuration

2011 FX4 SC EB on order! Luxury, NAV, max tow, sunroof, Sterling Gray. I can't wait to get out of my rough riding, gas guzzling, '09 F250 V10. I am expecting an overall increase in fuel mileage of over 50%. I have never towed over 10k lbs so I think the F150 will treat me well.

I've searched the Southern half of MN and I cannot find one damn EB truck out there. No matter the configuration. Anyone in MN have any insight as to when we in the North may see them?

Thanks for the info. I didn't know about the difference in steering ratio. I did a recheck of the specs/towing table on on the Ford site. Mine is 4x4/145"/3.5L/3.73 (3.73 came with offroad package) and they list it at 9800# tow so I will give up 1500# without max tow. Fortunately, I pull around 6500# so I think it will still do the job. Dealer emailed me yesterday and it's on a train from Dearborn heading my way.

The only upgrades you get with the Max Tow Package is:

Trailer Brake Controller is standard
Upgraded Rear Bumper
Manual Telescoping Tow Mirrors

A standard Tow Package will tow much more than 5,000lbs. Ford would have downgraded their towing capacity if that was true.
