I actually just filled it up. My info is telling me 19-20 around town but that is driving conservatively.
I might wait a little while before I try to see how many MPG I can get with math. I got to have some fun and let some friends drive it for now, also want to let the rings break in a little.

Yeah, I'm for sure pleased with the MPG if the meter is actually true. I noticed upon accel that it does like to drop down, most likely because those turbos are spooling but once you get to cruising speed. The engine is just sipping fuel.

Ford engineer stayed that staying out of boost did NOT necessarily mean better fuel economy. He said that running lower rpms with boost was more efficient than running higher rpms without boost.

The 3.31 is the standard ratio with 3.55, 3.73 and 4.10 being optional. The big drawback to the 3.31 is it is not offered with a limited slip. Otherwise it is a fine rear end, I had one in my 2001 with the 5.4.

Does that mean in 4x4 you would only have traction with one rear wheel and one front?

Actually with the traction control system having a limited slip rear end isn't as important any more

How do you like the Ingot Silver??? I am still on the fence about purchasing my FX4 in either silver/white or black...but I am leaning towards the silver now....Very nice truck and can't wait to hear more in the coming months.

I'm sure somebody has done the math, but how many miles does it take to realize any real $ savings from the fuel mileage considering the upcharge for the ecoboost option?

The ecoboost is a $750 option in the FX4 and up trim packages. If you participate in their Ford Ecoboost test drives. You receive a $500 off the ecoboost engine option.

It's not about just saving on gas, the engine is much more capable than the 5.0L and the 6.2L as far as power curve, torque, efficiency, upgrades, ect.

I cant stand traction control and usually turn it off, our van has it and sometimes in deep snow you need to floor it to get some momentum going, however traction control lowers the revs and you end up getting stuck.
It is handy if the road is icy and one tire is on ice and one on pavement.
