I just found out that my Red Candy Metallic Ecoboost Lariat is on its way to me. I am so excited! I had to finally register and thank folks here for their mostly insightful discussions, etc around this engine and other aspects of owning an F150. I am trading in a 2007 XLT 5.4 that has been an excellent towing mule. But with "the truck" becoming my DD I had to upgrade a bit and hopefully get some better gas mileage, too.

Here's hoping my faith in Ford doing their homework will not fail me.

Congrats! Just last evening I completed my order for an XLT with the EB. The order is suppose to be "input" today, with an expected delivery in early April. I'm trying to to think about it right now....otherwise I'll agonize over the wait!

WOW, congrats that will be really cool. I ordered mine when they first opened up ordering in Oct for my ecoboost. They (dealer) told me mine should be one of the first ones off the line and I would get it end of Feb / first part of march. I can't wait I am so excited!

Add me to the list, I put my deposit down yesterday and my specs should be sent off on Monday morning. Now the wait begins for my Sterling Grey Platinum 4x4 Ecoboost. Do any of y'all have some pull up in Dearborn to get my truck moved to the front of the line?

 

They lied then, mine is delivered Monday...

 

Ya, I would like to see what the real world fuel economy figures are.

 

Really??? None of the dealerships I have talked to knew when they would be out, most were thinking end of Feb to early March which was ok with me because they said it would take about 6 weeks for me to get mine.

 

I drove the 5.0 yesterday. The dealership's manager said they were expecting the eco to be on the lot any day now.

 

Some dealers got some pre-order forms for them but they were not actually able to send mine in until about the 2nd week of December because they would not accept them until then. I was told about 1.5 months before it arrives, once they accepted the form. I got word Friday that it was on the train coming to Memphis. Then it stated ETA was Monday or Tuesday of this week.

We'll see what happens.
